If you are a regular kind of mom, you must have done your bit of budgeting at the beginning of the month, only to see that your ultimate grocery expense has sky rocketed by the end of that month. There’s no saying how much your grocery expenses can go in any particular month. What with the rising cost of organic food and food kept under commercial refrigeration for a year, moms are losing the struggle against budgetless, arbitrary grocery buying.
Wouldn’t you love a bit of freebie groceries at the end of a month, just when you thought you would go outside your budget and need to purchase more and more groceries? It’s actually possible to get something like a lottery for free groceries, and if you are a regular mom, again, you are probably excited at the prospect of it.
It works in two ways. There’s one where you are a regular buyer at some grocery store, local or chain. Wanting to develop and retain a good customer base, such stores often offer incentives in the form of a day of free grocery shopping. Do not think that the grocery on offer for free will be like many other free things – old, stale, rotting, whatever. No, that is never part of a grocery store PR division’s agenda, understandably because they are looking to retain customers, not kick them away. So, if you are eligible for an offer like this, go ahead and help yourself. There’s no kickback to it.
The other way that this may work is where some new grocery store in town wants to lure away customers from competitors. Whatever the motive, the customer always benefits from competition. You get to go visit a completely new grocery store and get a good deal of free grocery.
